Frustration
I am frustrated with The System.
I need to up my dosage of Lithium (even higher) because I’m still experiencing manic and depressive spells. It frustrates me immensely to have to wait and wait and wait until I can get another appointment with my doctor at the homeless shelter. And THEN I’m going to have to wait at least a week or two for the new dosage to get into my system and start working.
I’ll most likely have to go through all the side effects again. My hands will shake so bad I won’t be able to write or draw, and I’ll be so nauseated I’ll throw up all the time and never want to eat.
And through all of that, I won’t even know for another month after that if that dosage is working. And if it’s not, it’s another waiting period to get in with the doctor at the shelter, and start the whole process over again. Medication management is my greatest struggle with all this bullshit.
WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO TAKE SO LONG?!

My sister sees a doctor through my family’s health insurance plan, and still it takes so long to get an appointment, wait for the drug to take affect, etc… There really must be a simpler way!
